Great news for fans of cutting-edge AI: Theia AI and the AI-powered Theia IDE support the latest GPT-4.5-preview model right out of the box!

GPT-4.5 adds itself to Theia IDE automatically!

In the video below, we demonstrate how you can easily add the new models to the settings of the AI-powered Theia IDE and use it right away. To continue the new tradition started with week with Claude Sonnet-3.7, we then ask the model to integrate itself to the default list, so it will be available by default with the next release. As you can see, GPT-4.5-preview finds itself within the code base and integrates as a default model automatically! That’s right - no manual coding required.

Please be aware that GPT-4.5 is very large and compute-intensive (and therefore more expensive at the moment), so it might not be a replacement for your daily model, yet. This has been an exciting week for AI adopters, after the announcement of Claude Sonnet-3.7, we now have a second very promising new frontier model available and we are happy that Theia AI allows us to immediately evaluate both new options!
