Spring has certainly sprung on the west coast of Canada, and that means we are into the Eclipse Kepler endgame.
Milestone 7 is the last Kepler milestone before we start rolling out release candidates – with a scheduled release on June 26th 2013. There are a number of new and noteworthy things from the Eclipse and Equinox teams in this milestone, including:
A p2 Remediation Wizard to help you move past p2 errors. If an install fails, p2 will look for other solutions such as upgrading or removing blocking components. The results of the remediation will be presented and you can choose the path that makes sense for you.
** **Open Resource improvements:
and you can now use Content-Assist without a prefix
Also, the first set of Eclipse 4.x API has also been released.
