Bugday was started at Eclipse to help foster community outreach and growth by providing an environment that encourages contributions from individuals who may not have worked on Open Source projects before. While bugday encourages participation, several technical challenges often make it difficult to get started. In this talk we will introduce a free service by EclipseSource to help Eclipse projects share their tool-chain configurations as a set of profiles. By simply 'launching' a profile, everything needed to get started with that project will automatically be provisioned.
Jonas Helming and Maximilian Koegel, March 2011

Transparent failover as a technique to improve reliability of mission critical systems is not usable with web applications that rely on additional threads in their HTTP sessions. RAP applications fall into this category of web applications. Sovereign is a research project by EclipseSource in conjunction with the Technical University Munich to develop a solution for the above problem.

Case Study
As a CEO getting his company up to speed on Eclipse I needed to provide my CTO and technical team with expert support as they explored what is a new technology for us.
Using EclipseSource to provide my CTO with trusted senior Eclipse expertise and technical answers meant that our team was able to come up to speed faster on Eclipse-based technologies and be much more confident in making decisions.
