EMF Forms and EMF Client Platform 1.8.0 released!

February 29, 2016 | 2 min Read

We are happy to announce that together with Mars.2, we have released EMF Forms and EMF Client Platform 1.8.0! We want to thank all committers and contributors for their work as well as the active ecosystem of users and adopters for the feedback and support!

EMF Forms is a framework focused on the creation of form-based UIs. EMF Client Platform is designed to support the development of applications based on an EMF data model. If you are not yet familiar with EMF Forms, please refer to this tutorial for a introduction.

Both frameworks are part of Eclipse Modeling Tools Mars.2 (a new name for SR2), but you can also find the new release on our download pages:

As every year, we are looking forward to EclipseCon, where we will present some of the new feature of both frameworks. Please join the following talks (both on Wednesday March 9th):

We will also host a BOF Wednesday evening. We are looking forward to meeting you there!

As always, we will blog about new features of the release in the upcoming weeks. As of two weeks ago, we have already introduced one of them, the EMF Forms Ecore editor and the Generic Editor.
