Eclipse Democamp December Munich 2015
It has already been two weeks since we hosted the “Christmas” democamp in Munich. It was a great event with a lot of interesting demonstrations and conversations. I would like to thank all the speakers for giving great presentations! Like always, we were sold out and I am very happy, that again almost all registered people appeared, so we had a “full house”.
This year, we had an evaluation of the talks to provide us with valuable feedback for planning the next events. While the votes are quite evenly distributed over 5 talks, there is a clear winner: Christoph Keimel, who defused a “bomb dummy” live on stage. Congratulation to Christoph and thank you for this well-prepared, interesting, and very entertaining talk.
The device he presented is actually part of a real “exit the room” game. If you want to see it in action, please see here:

There is a discount code for democamp participants: DEMOCAMP.
After the bomb dummy was successfully defused, and all talks were finished, Jochen drew the winner for the Tabris.JS competition. The winner could directly take a brand new IPad Pro home with him.
Finally, the following speakers provided me with a link to their slides:
- Eclipse Scout: The new Java web framework (Matthias Zimmermann)
- EMF Forms goes AngularJS (Maximilian Kögel)
- From RAP to Tabris.JS (Jochen Krause)
- Gitflow for EGit (Max Hohenegger)
- How to defuse a bomb with ECF and e(fx)clipse (Christoph Keimel)
We are looking forward to next year’s democamps!
Merry Cristmas!
